Over the past 25 years, Riva has been the director and owner of galleries on both the Upper East Side and in SoHo. With a master's degree in art history, Riva Blumenfeld started her career as an educator at the Brooklyn Museum, and recently resumed this work with adult and school groups ? at the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum the Whitney Museum of American Art and the YMHA.

As former president and current member of the New York chapter of ArtTable, a national organization of professional women in the art and a member of the Lower East Side Printshop, Riva is a prominent and active member of the art community.
